Stunted plants
Most nutrients can affect growth in one way or another if sufficiently deficient. N, P or K can affect it because they are the building blocks of plants whereas the micros either reduce the amount of growth hormone (Zn) or affect the growing points (B). Nutrients such as magnesium can reduce growth due to their effect on nitrate and phosphate utilisation.
